As a Financial Advisor, I learned about the constraints of the personal finance model. First, I saw clients with investment portfolios that they did not understand. Second, I was incentivized to focus on the assets, rather than the clients. Third, I saw women of all ages with a limited understanding of investments and personal finance topics not addressed by financial advisors.
My website has been the Top 40 Global Financial Websites for Women in my first year (#28) according to Feedspot.
My work has led me to share my knowledge across the globe as a speaker. I've been invited to provide live finance workshops in Shanghai/Mumbai/Bangalore/Hong Kong/Singapore/Sydney and cities across the USA.
In my travels to more than 50 countries, the key issue I witnessed was middle class women lacking the skills to grow and manage their money through investing. It struck a chord with me. Like my Mom in the 1950’s, they had very few female role models or examples. I want to empower women all over the world, not only about making investment decisions, but also about making financial decisions in all areas of their life. I want to be an advocate for this important demographic of women claiming their financial power during my lifetime.
